For the 3rd term you will be preparing and presenting your news in a slightly different way...

1) Instead of finding a piece news from a traditional source, you will select a short talk from the website of TED Talks. http://www.ted.com/
2) While watching the talk, you will take notes and prepare a short summary similar to previous terms. You should watch the talk at least two times to ensure that you understand everything
3) Additionally, you will need to write a brief biography about the speaker. Who is she/he? What do they do? Why are they qualified to be delivering the speech? (3-4 sentences)
4) On your day to present, select a segment of the talk (up to 90 seconds) to show to the class. It should provide the class with an general idea of who the speaker is and what the talk is about.

5) The format should be as follows:
-Title of the Talk
-Authors name and Biography
-Summary of the Talk
-Relationship with Social Studies
-Personal Opinion
(As always, don't forget to write your name, the date, and class number)
